RACE: NEW YORK CITY MARATHON
The Brain Tumor Foundation (BTF) has been a proud Official Charity Partner of the NYC Marathon for the past 15 years.
Together, nearly 350 Team BTF runners, who’ve come from all over the world, have raised over $1.5 million since 2010 to help fund our brain-tumor-related programs and initiatives, including free MRIs for research into the early detection of brain tumors.
Why the NYC Marathon?
This year, the TCS New York City Marathon will celebrate its 50th anniversary, first run in 1976. It’s the world’s largest and most iconic sporting event, covering 26.2 miles across all five New York City boroughs, with more than 55,000 runners and two million cheering spectators. Runners, from across experience levels, ages, genders, abilities, and backgrounds, participate to challenge themselves, honor loved ones, and support meaningful causes.
