RACE: NEW YORK CITY MARATHON
The Brain Tumor Foundation has been a proud Official Charity Partner of the New York City Marathon for the past 15 years.
Together, nearly 350 Team BTF runners, who’ve come from all over the world, have raised over $1.5 million since 2010 to help fund our brain-tumor-related programs and initiatives, including free MRIs for research into the early detection of brain tumors.
Why the NYC Marathon?
It’s the world’s largest and most iconic marathon covering 26.2 miles across all five New York City boroughs. In 2025, nearly 60,000 runners completed the race within an average of four and a half hours, and with an estimated 2 million cheering spectators lining the course. People run to challenge themselves, honor loved ones, and support meaningful causes.
